RBI IS PROVISIONALLY ACCREDITED BY UNCCD SINCE FEBRUARY 2026
RBI is honored to announce that since February 2026 is provisionally accredited by United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) as observer organization and eligible for the forthcoming Conference of the Parties (COP17), to be held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, from 17–28 August 2026.
What this means for RBI
- Our voice and evidence-based approaches will be represented in international dialogues shaping climate resilience and sustainable land management.
- This milestone strengthens our commitment to inclusive empowerment of women, youth, and marginalized communities in climate action.
We extend our gratitude to the UNCCD secretariat and the Civil Society Organizations (CSO) panel for their guidance and partnership. RBI will continue to actively engage in UNCCD implementation and keep the secretariat informed of our ongoing activities across Rwanda and beyond.
