RBI Joins Rwanda–Singapore Emissions reduction Bilateral Agreement

RBI is proud to be named among project developers under the Rwanda–Singapore bilateral agreement on emissions reduction.

This partnership recognizes #RBI for carbon mitigation activities that generate Article 6-compliant carbon credits. These credits will be used by Singapore toward its Nationally Determined Contribution under the Paris Agreement.

Our project “Climate Smart Rice Agriculture in Western & Southern Province, Rwanda”

Will combine technology and nature-based solutions to transform rice farming. Using Alternate Wetting & Drying (AWD) powered by IoT sensors, farmers can precisely measure irrigation water in real time. 10-year impact goals across 7,000 hectares:

  • Emissions reduction by reducing methane CH₄ ;
  • Improved irrigation by Upgrading water management infrastructureT
  • Higher yields: Increase rice production for farmer incomes
  • Job creation;
  • The use of Irrigation Water efficiently;
